  • Modern film labs focus on the digital files produced by film, meaning the physical integrity of negatives is less important, as artifacts like dust, stains, scratches, and fingerprints are removable thanks to Digital ICE technology in scanners. Photo Spectrum focuses on the functionality of negatives in the darkroom for prints, meaning extra precautions are necessary to ensure high-quality negatives.

    Lastly, rolls of film developed at Photo Spectrum enjoy cheaper prices for prints. :)

  • C-41: Scans will be available within 3 working days. Contact prints and negatives may be expectedwithin 10 working days.

    B&W rolls will be processed twice a month.

    Drop-off Prints: You may expect prints to be ready within 15 working days of dropping off your film.

    Guided Printing sessions: You will be going home with your prints in hand on the day!

  • Photo Spectrum focuses on C-41 processes, including both 135 and 120 for the same price.

    B&W films are accepted but please expect longer lead times.

    ECN-2 and E-6 processes will not be accepted.

  • Darkroom printing can only print photos from film negatives (C-41/ECN-2/B&W). Reversal film/Slide film/Positive film (E-6) cannot be used.

    This is primarily a color darkroom, although B&W films can also be used, please understand the process is not true black and white paper.
